Unidentified Assets

❓Unidentified Assets Alert: This is a list of assets that were not automatically identified through the provisioning process.

If a picture is not clear, or the manufacturer is not identified on the asset’s nameplate, the asset will not be identified. These assets should be reviewed and updated. Edit the asset information to update the correct model and manufacturer.

TIP: If the asset ID plate doesn't have the manufacturer included, the use of a 'post-it' or label with it printed in block letters, held just above the plate, will do the trick when provisioning assets! 

How to Edit Asset Details for Unidentified Assets:

1. Click on your "Notifications" in the upper right, and select "Unidentified Assets"
2. Click on the asset you wish to update; this will open the "Asset Details"; click "Edit"
3. For Cataloged items (equipment with a manufacturer), select "Catalog" and choose from the drop down the correct Manufacturer name. 
4. Choose from the dropdown of model types for the manufacturer you chose (if it's not listed - let support@kahi.io know!)
5. Fill out any additional information (serial, etc) if you wish, and then click "Submit"

It is also possible that we do not have the manufacturer/model in our database. Contact support@kahi.io for additional assistance with or to request adding missing manufacturers or model types.
