Homesick Assets

You may periodically see an alert indicating that some assets are Homesick. This is an indication that the asset has been away from its Home Location for a period greater than that determined by its Asset Category (default is two weeks).

Homesick Assets are worth investigating as soon as they are noticed. This may be an indication of one of the following situations:

• long running job site
• equipment on loan outside the organization and out of connection
• equipment left behind on a completed job site
• equipment loss or theft
• in rare cases, it may be a failed battery or faulty beacon

Clicking on the alert will display a list of the Assets in question, indicating the last known location they were at, their latitude and longitude and the last time their beacon registered an event with a nearby gateway.
