Access all of your alerts in one place, with just one click!
Kahi Alerts System is now accessible from the upper right corner of the platform. The alarm bell icon will display a notification that indicates you have alerts to review.
Red Bubble: Alert (urgent, action/review needed)
Yellow Bubble: Warning (action/review needed)
Blue Bubble: Information only
Click on any alert to open the Alert Profile:
Drill down into each alert by clicking on its header tab, easily switching between alerts. If the alert requires action, it will disappear once the needed action is completed.
Hovering over the asset, location, or gateway name will give you additional viewing or action icons.
Below is the list of current alerts that could be displayed in your Kahi account:
Low Battery Assets Alert: The battery power for a particular asset is at a low level (50% life left), and will soon need to be replaced. The last location is listed to help find where the asset is currently at. Hover over the asset name to activate the “view asset” button for more information.
Critical Battery Assets Alert: The battery power for a particular asset is critical (25% life left) and can impact tracking; the battery will need to be replaced immediately to ensure continued tracking ability. Hover over the asset name to activate the “view asset” button for more information.
Homesick Assets Alert: Assets that have been away from their Home Location for a period greater than that determined by its Asset Category (default period is two weeks). These assets should be reviewed in case they need to be physically found and returned to the warehouse. Hover on the asset name to activate the “view asset” button for more information.
Orphaned Assets Alert: Assets that have an "unknown" last location. Typically the location has not yet been confirmed as a job site in the app; once it is confirmed, the asset will snap to the updated location and no longer be orphaned. These assets should be reviewed, and their locations confirmed in the app. The last known coordinates (latitude and longitude) will be displayed. Hover on the asset name to activate the option to view the asset’s location.
Unconfirmed Locations Alert: These are locations that have not yet been reviewed, and could be potential job sites. These should be reviewed daily/frequently, to prevent assets from becoming orphaned. Hover over the location listed for your “Confirm/Ignore” buttons to appear. You can also review this list from the “Unconfirmed Locations” tab on the side menu.
Offline Fixed Gateways Alert: This alert lets you know if your warehouse gateway is offline. Most of the time, it likely has been unplugged if it is offline, so simply plug back in! Please contact Support@kahi.io if your Kahi Hale cellular-based gateway is offline if it is plugged in. Hover over the gateway name to activate the “view” button for more information.
Offline Mobile Gateways Alert: A vehicle gateway that is not currently online. This indicates that the vehicle has not been in use for a period of time or the OBD port connection is loose/disconnected (possibly requiring further investigation if it is offline for any other reason). It should be checked to ensure it is properly powered/connected. Hover over the gateway name to activate the “view” button for more information.
New Locations Alert: A list of locations that have been created in the last 48 hours. This list can include unconfirmed locations, and will also include locations that were created through one of our integration partner's platforms (if your Kahi account is integrated with your Encircle or Albi account). Manually entered locations will also be listed here. This list is non-actionable and is more for informational purposes.
Unidentified Assets Alert: A list of assets not automatically identified through the provisioning process. If a picture is not clear, or the manufacturer is not identified on the asset’s nameplate, the asset will not be identified. These assets should be reviewed and updated. Edit the asset information to update the correct model and manufacturer. Contact support for additional assistance for adding missing manufacturers or model types. Hover over the asset to activate the “edit” and “view” buttons for more information.
